Anesthesia Machine

The anesthesia machine safely delivers anesthetic gas and oxygen via a breathing circruit to the patient. As a result it is combined with a ventilator (which can be also be used without delivering inhaled anesthetics). The machine is a continuous flow machine in which all the components are mounted on a table. It is used for inhalation anesthesia, including flowmeters, vaporizers, and sources of compressed gases, but not including the anesthetic circuit or mechanisms for elimination of carbon dioxide. Anesthesia Machine is a medical device used to generate and mix a fresh gas flow of medical gases and inhalational anaesthetic agents.
